Detailed information of TF Family

TF family name

Transcription factor jumonji

Desription

The jumonji domain is a highly conserved bipartite domain made up of two subdomains, jmjN and jmjC, which is found in many eukaryotic transcription factors. The jmjC domain possess the histone demethylase activity. Histone methylation has important roles in regulating gene expression and forms part of the epigenetic memory system that regulates cell fate and identity.
